Union Pacific Rail Road (UPRR) will be closing the rail road crossing in Maricopa on November 21-22 at State Route (SR) 347 and restricting traffic to one lane in each direction for an additional six weeks. REMEMBER:

  • Patience is a Virtue: After the first few days, we expect that traffic will begin to flow smoothly.
  • Support our Children: Please help minimize school delay by providing extra courtesy to school buses transporting our children. For updated bus route pick-up times go to www.maricopausd.org.
  • Safety First: Continue to obey all traffic signs & construction restrictions.
  • Look to the Signals: Intersections with left hand turn arrows are the safest place to make a left hand turn.
  • Think Ahead: Plan your routes, leave early and use the alternative routes whenever possible.

This will be a short term inconvenience to all of us but these improvements are essential to the long term growth and development of Maricopa. We thank you for your cooperation
