City of Maricopa Sustainability
As the city of Maricopa continues to grow, the City Council and staff understand that the decisions we make now will have long-term impacts on the community's economic, social, and environmental sustainability. In our day-to-day operations, the City works toward achieving a vision for Maricopa where residents live, learn, work, worship, and play within its borders. We invite you to see the initiatives our city organization and community members have underway to become environmentally sustainable, and we challenge you to think green too.

Incentives and assistance will be provided to encourage businesses to implement proactive actions that protect, preserve and improve the environment. Meeting the criteria of this program will certify a business as a Green Business.
The city of Maricopa has established a Green Building Incentive program for new construction of commercial and mixed use (residential/commercial) projects that are built to the green standard of the United States Green Building Council Leadership Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system.
