On Wednesday July 20th, the Maricopa E-Team had the opportunity to attend a WNBA game between the Phoenix Mercury and the Minnesota Lynx. They were able to attend the pre-game event coordination meeting, take a tour of the arena and perform for all of the kids camps coming through the foyer. They played music, made balloon animals and performed their step routines along with members of the Mercury's Hip Hop Squad. The group took in the game and was lucky enough to get onto the court afterwards for a picture. This is the second consecutive year the E-Team performed on Kids Camp Day. |
Department Initiative:
The Parks & Maintenance Division installed energy efficient lighting in the restrooms, concession stand and expansion fields of Pacana Park. The smart bulbs in the restrooms and concession stand have a life expectancy of five years. Whereas the Musco lighting in the expansion fields includes an automated monitoring system that reduces staff time and prevents the lights from turning on unless needed.
