Department Initiative:
The Parks & Maintenance Division installed energy efficient lighting in the restrooms, concession stand and expansion fields of Pacana Park. The smart bulbs in the restrooms and concession stand have a life expectancy of five years. Whereas the Musco lighting in the expansion fields includes an automated monitoring system that reduces staff time and prevents the lights from turning on unless needed.

City of Maricopa hosted the Punt Pass & Kick competition on September 10 at Pacana Park. The event had 56 competitors for the event. Winners in their respective age divisions get a chance to compete in the Sectionals in Glendale, Arizona on November 13 at Saguaro Park.
