Maricopa Youth Flag Football

Maricopa Youth Flag Football is moving full steam ahead. This year's flag football program is composed of 475 players & 48 teams, raising the figures by 110 kids from last year's program. The age divisions consist of 4-5, 6-7, 8-9 & 10-13, all co-ed divisions. The season started on October 18 & wraps up on December 10.

Department Initiative:

The Parks & Maintenance Division installed energy efficient lighting in the restrooms, concession stand and expansion fields of Pacana Park. The smart bulbs in the restrooms and concession stand have a life expectancy of five years. Whereas the Musco lighting in the expansion fields includes an automated monitoring system that reduces staff time and prevents the lights from turning on unless needed.
