He has served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at Maricopa Community College for more than 15 years and is a facilitator for IACP/AZ POST Leadership in Police Organizations. He has received recognition for his work with the National Children's Alliance, Western Region Child & Family Advocacy Network and as the first President of the Arizona Child and Family Advocacy Network. Chief Stahl has had great success with his community policing philosophy. "I believe there are many facets to the concept Community Policing. In its most simplistic terms, it is Police Officers getting out of their vehicles and talking to citizens, business owners and commuters through our city. We must ask our citizens what they desire from their police department and make every attempt to meet those demands. Crime-fighting strategies work best when citizens and their police officers work together toward crime prevention and when necessary, criminal apprehension." "I believe my transformational leadership style and passion for visionary policing are a strong fit for the City of Maricopa. I am confident that my diverse experience and results-driven philosophy will take the Maricopa Police Department to the next level of professionalism. I look forward to meeting you and working together to make our progressive community safe for years to come."
