The Office of the City Clerk is dedicated to serving the City Council, staff and citizens of the community in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner; accurately record and preserve the history of the City of Maricopa; ensure the preservation, management and maintenance of all City records from creation to disposition, and diligently conduct the City's elections pursuant to state statute.

2014 RememberToVote ButtonThe City of Maricopa will hold a Primary Election on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 for the purpose of electing a Mayor and four City Council members. The election ballot is consolidated; therefore, school, county and state offices also appear on the same ballot.

Please visit the City’s Election Page for local elections information, where to go vote on Election Day and acceptable voter identification at the polls. To vote an early by mail, you must request a ballot by August 15, 2014. Requests can be made by visiting

Participation in the August Primary Election is important as Maricopa City Council candidates have the ability to be elected at the Primary Election if they receive a majority of the votes cast. 20140328-LawIn accordance with A.R.S. Section 9-499.15, public notice is hereby given that the City of Maricopa City Council will consider approving new fees no sooner than 60 days after the posting date of this notice. The following new fees relate to proposed licensing of special business types, specifically: (1) After-Hours Establishments, (2) Teen Dance Halls, and (3) Magic Arts Establishments.


20140328-LawProposition 405 will appear on the November 4th, 2014 General Election ballot. Proposition 405 is being referred to the voters by the Maricopa City Council and, if approved, it will change the term for the office of mayor from 2 years to 4 years. The arguments will be included inside an informational pamphlet, which will be mailed to each household containing a registered voter.
