Copper Sky Recreation Complex
The Copper Sky Recreation Complex is the sporting, fitness, recreation and leisure destination in Maricopa. Comprised of the Copper Sky Multigenerational Center and the Copper Sky Regional Park, this expansive recreational development offers state-of-the-art equipment, grand green spaces and fantastic programs designed to enhance Maricopa residents' quality of life.
On Saturday, March 15 the City of Maricopa will be celebrating the opening of the Copper Sky Recreation Complex located at 44345 W Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. with an open house from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Festivities will start at 10 a.m. with a ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony. At 10:30 a.m. the doors of the new Multigenerational Center will be opened for the open house. The open house will be a great opportunity for the public to see the inside of the facility and explore membership options for themselves or their families. Equipment and facilities will not be available for use during the open house. The complex will officially open for business on Sunday, March 16 at 11 a.m. The first 100 guests on Sunday will receive a Copper Sky water bottle.
From 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. there will be guided park tours at the Regional Park. The amphitheater will feature a DJ and performances from local community groups. Activities such as fishing, team games and practices, skate demonstrations and basketball demonstrations will be featured in the park. The Maricopa Dog Alliance and the Maricopa Police K-9 unit will be on site at the new dog park with activities as well. In addition, vendors will be on location selling food items.
The Multigenerational/Aquatic Center and Regional Park features extensive recreational activity options including a full fitness center, two indoor basketball courts, two pools with a splash pad, eight multi-purpose fields, a five-acre fishing lake, dog park, skate plaza and much more!
