Section 3-2-5 of the Charter of the City of Maricopa establishes the city attorney as the chief legal advisor for all offices, departments, employees and officers in matters relating to their official duties and serves at the pleasure of City Council.

The office provides legal and advocacy services that assist the organization to enhance the quality of life within Maricopa and build trust in the integrity of City government.
