City Manager - Kevin Evans.Kevin Evans

Biography
Kevin Evans graduated from Hereford High School in 1973 and later graduated cum laude from West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M) in 1976 with a Bachelors of Science in Public Administration.  Mr. Evans began service in public management in 1976, as assistant to the City Manager in Canyon, Texas and went on to pursue a long and successful career as City Manager in the Texas Communities of Shamrock, Electra, Syemour, and Athens.  In 1992, Kevin was appointed City Manager in Ardmore, Oklahoma and later moved to Grand Prairie, Texas as Deputy City Manager for a total of over 23 years in public service. In December 2000, Kevin returned home to West Texas to serve as President of the Ports-to-Plains Trade Corridor Coalition. He began his service as City Manager for the City of Huntsville in January 2004.

Kevin received his designation as Certified Economic Developer (C.Ec.D.) from the International Economic Development Council in 1994. He has been honored with service on the Boards of Directors for the Texas City Managers Association, City Managers Association of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Municipal League.

Kevin is married with five children.
