The City of Maricopa Community Services Department is committed to providing services and amenities to enhance the quality of life of its residents.
Library cards are free to any resident of Pinal County 5 years of age and older. Proof of residency in Pinal County is required (a P.O. Box is not acceptable). For individuals between the ages of 5 and 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present when the card is issued. All Maricopa Public Library cards expire two years from the issue date and can be renewed.
Library cards are free to all City of Maricopa employees. A $25 fee is charged if you do not work in Maricopa or live in Pinal County.
Patrons are allowed one (1) courtesy checkout without their library card in hand, as long as they have photo ID that matches their patron account. A note is then put in their patron account to indicate they have used their courtesy check-out and they will be required to have their library card with them on all subsequent check-outs or purchase a replacement card. Replacement cards are available for $1.00.
