Maricopa Police Department
The Maricopa Police Department is committed to working in partnership with our community to improve the quality of life in our city. We are dedicated to solving community problems, the reduction of crime, the protection of life and property, and upholding the laws, ordinances, and the constitutional rights of all persons. We strive to accomplish these objectives without prejudice, with the highest of integrity, and with the support of the citizens we serve.
Starting 6 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 30, in conjunction with the new communications service provided to Maricopa residents, a new non-emergency dispatch number for the City of Maricopa Police Department has been created. The new non-emergency Police Department Dispatch number will be (520) 568-3MPD, which is (520) 568-3673.
There will be no change in the emergency number, 9-1-1. The Police Department encourages citizens to continue using 911 for emergency situations only. The administrative number (to contact records, request a tow hearing, ask a question about a report already filed, etc.) will aso stay the same (520) 316-6800. The administrative number is only staffed from Monday thru Friday, 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. All other calls requiring police response can be handled by calling the new non-emergency number. In order to facilitate a smooth transition, the Police Department is recommending all residents make a note of the new dispatch number, (520) 568-3MPD, and its effective date.
