Become a Police Officer.
Written Exam.

The Maricopa Police Department does not have any study guides for any part of our written test.
The written test is a comprehensive entry law enforcement examination that measures memory, analytical and logical thinking ability, problem solving and other functions critical to success as a law enforcement officer.
The test will take approximately three hours to complete, so plan accordingly. Tests will be scored before you leave for the day and you will be notified of whether or not you achieved a passing score. In order to pass the written test, you must achieve a minimum score of 68. Applicants who pass the written test will be placed on an eligibility list for one year and will be invited to take the physical ability test. Applicants who fail the written test may re-take the test the next time it is offered.
For additional testing information please contact Officer Pentajo at 520/316-6867.
