The City of Maricopa Community Services Department is committed to providing services and amenities to enhance the quality of life of its residents.

Kids, come in and join us for cupcake decorating! This hands-on class is acupcake st patricks beginner's course in cupcake decorating and artistic expression where participants will learn and practice while having fun.  St. Patrick's Day is a time to celebrate the luch of the Irish, and what betteri way to start the festivities with decorating a cupcake.  This class is offered on Saturday, March 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in Multipurpose Room B at Copper Sky Multigenerational Center. A parent or guardian is required to participate.  Cost is only $5.00! So don't forget to sign up as participants express creativity through the art of decorating and designing cupcakes.

The PLAY Maricopa Activity Guide is a catalog of classes 2015 PLAY summer coverand programs offered by the City of Maricopa Parks and Recreation Division. There are enrichment classes, sports leagues and fun activities for all ages and interests. The Activity Guide is published four times per year:

  • Winter Season Catalog - November
  • Spring Season Catalog - February
  • Summer Season Catalog - April
  • Fall Season Catalog - August.

The Community Services Department has created a volunteer exchange program to allow senior groups the opportunity to reduced or free rental space at the Copper Sky Multigenertional Center in exchange for hourly volunteer help in a variety of positions.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

  • Service Desk Check-In Attendant
  • Towel Service Attendant
  • Child Watch Check-In Attendant
  • Copper Sky Greeter
  • Room Set-Up Attendant

The established exchange rate will be set at $10.00 per volunteer hour, which in turn, can be applied to the rental fees associated with reserving a room at the Copper Sky Multigenerational Center.  A background check must be completed and any volunteer must complete and turn in an approved volunteer timesheet.
