AlarmBusiness and residential alarm users are required by Maricopa City Code 05-02 to obtain an Alarm Permit and register that permit with the city. Alarm permits may be obtained at the Maricopa City Hall or on the city's web site. James R. Hughes, Commander

JHughes fcCommander James R. Hughes, a New Jersey native, began his career more than 25 years ago in Mendham Township, N.J., as a police officer. His law enforcement experience over those 25 years included supervising uniformed patrol and criminal investigations. Hughes spent his final nine years in law enforcement as second in command for a municipal police agency in New Jersey and one year as Acting Chief of Police.
