"Making Every Contact Excellent."
The primary philosophy of the Maricopa Police Department is to prevent victimization, fight crime and foster community engagement.
To enhance this vision, our men and women must make many contacts with citizens, business owners, visitors and commuters throughout our city. We strive to make each of these contacts excellent!
Law abiding citizens can expect interactions with our officers to be professional and responsive. Citizen trust and input into solving community concerns and preventing criminal activity is held in high regard. Victims of crime are treated with empathy while all efforts are made to restore and empower them.
Persons who choose to engage in criminal behavior can expect to be met with a swift response absent discrimination by utilizing excellent training, equipment, policies and criminal justice partnerships for a coordinated community response.
