Fun with rhymes and songs for babies 0-12 months old and their caregivers followed by an open play time. Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m.
Toddler Story Time
This program highlights parent-child interaction to stimulate brain power in young children. Toddler Storytime is Mondays and Tuesdays at 9:00 am. The Tuesday storytime is a repeat of the Monday storytime so please choose one or the other to allow us to serve the most children.
Children from ages 3-5 have fun with engaging books, songs, and activities as they build literacy skills. Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:00 am, The Tuesday storytime is a repeat of the Monday storytime so please choose one or the other time to allow us to serve the most children.
School Aged Storytime
Thursdays at 4:00 pm.
Come read to PJ the dog. Wednesdays from 4:30-6:00 pm. Please call or stop by the library to register for a time.

Come to the library every Wednesday and learn about science, math, art and technology in an interactive way. Meets Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m.
Sparks Coding meets on Mondays at 3:30 p.m.. Participants will be given a generic library issued log-in to Code.org and follow the lesson plans as the program continues. The goal is for participants to learn to code in scratch, python, html and C++. This program is limited to 12 participants.
Sparks Robotics meets Tuesdays from 3;30-4:30 p.m. Kids will get a chance to work with VEX-IQ Robots learning how to build and program robots for competitions or fun, Registration required.
8-Bits Video Game Club
For kids 8-12. This club meets the first and third Fridays of the month at 4:00 p.m. for video game fun.
Mad Art Lab
Meets the second Thursday of each month from 5:00-6:00 p.m. Kids experiment with technology and art to create fantastic creations of their own.
Off the Page: Book Club for Tweens
Meets the Third Thursday of each month from 5:00-6:00 Kids looking for a different kind of book club are invited to join us for exciting reads and interactive events like games, contests and fan art that will bring books to life.

Service minded teens are invited to meet weekly to work on community service projects inside the library and out. Registration required.

For ages 13+. This group meets to play video games on the second and fourth Fridays of the month at 4:00 p.m.

Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Maricopa Public Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to support and enhance our library. They raise funds to support literacy programs and other library activities. Gently used books are available for purchase from the Friends bookshelf at the library. They also host semi-annual book sales in the spring and fall.
The Friends of the Maricopa Public Library meet on the second Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Meetings are held at the Maricopa Public Library. All members are welcome to attend. Their Annual Membership meeting is held on the second Monday in June at 5:30 p.m. and all members are encouraged to attend to vote on board elections.
The library is always looking for dependable volunteers. To volunteer at the library, you must be 15 years or older. Simply fill out the application form and return it to the circulation desk. The volunteer coordinator will contact you within 2 weeks.
The library currently has openings to assist with:
- Children's Craft Programs
- Ongoing tutoring and reading programs
- Special Events
The library accepts donations of books, CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays and video games. All donated items should be in good condition. The library does not accept newspapers, textbooks, or periodicals as donations. Please only drop off donations during regular hours of operation. Donations are accepted at the front desk. Please do not drop off items after hours or place them in the dropbox.
