The Engineering Division is responsible for development and implementation of long-range plans and the Capital Improvement Program for Transportation and Floodplain infrastructure. This includes the design, environmental review, right-of-way acquisition, and construction for infrastructure improvements and new City facilities. Engineering reviews all site plans, preliminary and final plats, special use permits and construction documents for all development projects in the City.
Detailed inspections are completed for every construction job in the City to ensure the public’s safety. These inspections include retention grading, sewer line flow, water line leakage and pressure, soil density, and concrete and asphalt thickness and durability.
