Rodolfo Lopez began his career with the City of Maricopa in May 2007 as a Planner’s Assistant. He has held positions as Assistant Planner, Planner, Senior Planner, Planning and Zoning Manager, and Deputy Director of Development Services before assuming his current position in July 2021.

Rodolfo earned his undergraduate degree in Housing and Urban Development from Arizona State University in 2007 and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration with emphasis in Land Use Planning from Northern Arizona University in 2016. He is an AICP certified planner by the American Planning Association (APA) and stays updated on current trends in planning and municipal management through his active membership in APA.

Rodolfo has lived in the City of Maricopa since 2007. When he is not busy overseeing development projects, he can be found jogging around Pacana Park, attending city events with his family, or coaching his daughter’s softball team at the baseball diamond.
