The Public Information Officer (PIO) Program's mission is to deliver timely, accurate and consistent information during times of crisis and calm. The department PIO program strives to be proactive messengers of life safety messaging to the community.
Our PIO's are specialists trained in media relations, crisis communications, public speaking, special events, and public education.

Community Emergency Response Team
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations
