The Department of Communications & Cultural Services is the primary source for information about what’s happening in the City of Maricopa. In addition to managing the City’s Emergency Communications System, the department oversees eNews and social media—key channels for the latest official updates from the City and its departments. Communications & Cultural Services also manages the Maricopa Community Center, a cornerstone for residents, and leads the City’s signature events, arts initiatives, and community projects.

Media Inquiries

As a rule of business, the Communications and Cultural Services Director and the Marketing & Communications Manager are the Official Spokespersons for the City of Maricopa. With the exception of straightforward information questions (e.g., "what are City Hall hours of operation?"), inquiries about the city from all media representatives (including student reporters) are to be referred to the office of Communications and Cultural Services.

The Communications and Cultural Services Director and the Marketing & Communications Manager are charged with responsibility for providing the information, opinions or policy interpretation or for referring the reporter to the city employee with the appropriate expertise, as well as the administrative responsibility and authority, to officially respond. Please email Media@maricopa-az.gov or call (520) 316-6866.
