Youth Council
The vision for the City of Maricopa Youth Council is to empower caring youth dedicated to personal development and leadership. If you are interested in applying for membership to the council, please complete the following application found below.
Applicant Eligibility Requirements;
- Applicants must be a resident of the city and be of age 13 through 18.
- If Applicants are 18 they must still be in high school.
- Applicants must be available to attend all meeting and event dates.
You may attach additional sheets if necessary: ALL information must be completed in order to be considered for the City of Maricopa Youth Council. - Is there a fee to join?
No, program is free.
- Is there an age limit?
Yes, 13-18 years.
- Do I have to live in Maricopa?
Yes, all members must live within the city of Maricopa, the city of Maricopa planning area, Ak-Chin Indian Community or Gila River Community.
- How often does Youth Council have meetings?
Meetings are held up to twice a month, sometimes 3 times a month.
- Are there other requirements?
Members are required to do volunteer hours at events and or within the youth programs.
