Schedule Your Next Ride with the New MET Mobile App

If you didn't know, the City of Maricopa MET offers an on-demand ride service, traditionally known as dial-a-ride, where residents can book a ride from point A to point B for only $1. Now the way you book those trips is getting a major upgrade!

Residents will soon be able to control their next doctor’s appointment or shopping trip from the tips of their fingers with the new MET mobile app. While the app will focus on the on-demand or scheduling features to start,  we know it will streamline the way residents use our transit system, making public transportation more accessible, efficient, and user-friendly.

"We are excited to bring the new transit app to the City of Maricopa. This app will be more convenient for the community and with the ability to optimize schedules and routes we will be able to provide more rides to our residents,” said  Joshua Bowman, Director of Organizational Performance and who oversees the Maricopa Express Transit

Some of the key features of the MET Ride app include: 

  • Live Updates: The app provides real-time updates on delays, cancellations, and other service changes, helping riders stay informed and adjust their plans accordingly. You can even track your driver’s location from the comfort of your phone.
  • Integrated Payment System: The app supports a quick and easy payment method utilizing a credit card. This integration simplifies the payment process, allowing users to pay for rides directly through their phones.
  • Ride Booking: Riders can schedule their trips up to one week in advance, ensuring they have a seat during peak hours.
  • Route Optimization: Drivers will receive up-to-the-minute recommendations for the fastest and most efficient routes to their destinations, taking into account current traffic and service conditions to ensure riders arrive as quickly as possible.

The new app officially launches on Monday, May 27. As the app rolls out, the city is committed to ensuring that all residents can take advantage of its features. Anyone interested can download the app using the links below (links will not be available until May 27) and start scheduling rides for the first week of June.
