Maricopa recognized its latest Citizen Leadership Academy graduates at a recent City Council meeting. The program, with 450+ alumni since 2009, educates residents on local government, public safety, and community issues to encourage civic engagement.

347 in the Spotlight During Senator's Visit to Maricopa

State Route 347 was the focus as Sen. Kyrsten Sinema joined Mayor Christian Price and local leaders for a transportation summit in Maricopa. Projects discussed include widening SR 347, the Sonoran Desert Parkway, Green Road Connector Bypass, and I-11, with SR 347 improvements highlighted as the City’s top priority.

347 Overpass at Riggs Road Approved by Transportation Committee

House Bill 2068, funding an overpass at SR 347 and Riggs Road, passed the House Transportation Committee unanimously. The bill must still pass the Legislature and be signed by the governor. If approved, the project would ease congestion for over 40,000 daily commuters and support Maricopa’s future growth.
