ADOT Announces SR347 Traffic Restrictions Starting June 25

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) has announced a series of overnight lane restrictions on State Route 347 as work begins on the SR 347 Improvement Project.

Drivers should expect intermittent single-lane closures in both directions between Interstate 10, Maricopa Road, and Riggs Road during overnight hours through early July. The restrictions will support pre-construction equipment staging and asphalt paving activities as Phase 1 of the project gets underway.

Here is a detailed breakdown of the upcoming traffic restrictions:

Southbound

• Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Interstate 10 to Maricopa Road from 8 p.m. Thursday, June 25, to 4 a.m. Friday, June 26, for pre-construction equipment staging.
• Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Maricopa Road to Riggs Road from 8 p.m. Friday, June 26, to 1 a.m. Saturday, June 27, for pre-construction equipment staging.
• Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Interstate 10 to Maricopa Road from 8 p.m. Monday, June 29, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, for asphalt paving.
• Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Maricopa Road to Riggs Road from 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, to 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 1, for asphalt paving.
• Southbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Maricopa Road to Riggs Road from 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, to 5 a.m. Thursday, July 2, for asphalt paving.

Northbound

• Northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Riggs Road to Maricopa Road from 8 p.m. Friday, June 26, to 5 a.m. Saturday, June 27, for pre-construction equipment staging.
• Northbound SR 347 will be narrowed to one lane from Riggs Road to Maricopa Road from 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, to 4 a.m. Thursday, July 2, for asphalt paving.

ADOT also advises motorists to plan for additional overnight and select weekend lane restrictions throughout July, including the weekends of July 10, 17, and 24.
