The Heritage District is a promising area of the city that will soon be receiving a new coat of paint amongst other things. Recognizing the Old Town area’s importance to the identity of Maricopa and the need for its preservation and redevelopment, City Council enacted plan and design guidelines for the area back in 2008. As ongoing development continues, our Public Services team has been hard at work creating and installing a brand new entrance sign that you can now view on Maricopa Casa Grande Highway. The team wanted to keep the aesthetics of the "Old Town" feel while keeping the designs in line with our current guidelines. Flowers and other vegetation will be installed at a later date, as well as a second sign that can be viewed near Plainview Road and MCG Highway.
