The Maricopa City Council offered a proclamation as well as a certificate of appreciation for Judge Lyle Riggs and members of his staff during the last regular meeting. Judge Riggs served as the City Magistrate and court process for Maricopa for over a decade. The City of Maricopa opened their own Municipal Court on Jan. 3, 2023 with Judge Stephen McCarville presiding.

"The service Judge Riggs offered the city is very much appreciate and we would very much like to honor him and his staff for all of their years of service to our community," said Mayor Smith during the proclamation.
