Community Volunteers Honored with Proclamation

Mayor Christian Price issued a proclamation for volunteers during the last regular City Council meeting. Volunteers for the Maricopa Police Department, Fire/Medical Department, and Parks & Recreation Department were on hand to be recognized by the Council for all of their efforts in assisting the community. During the meeting, Mayor Price declared that April 17-23, 2022 will be officially recognized as Volunteer Appreciation Week in the City of Maricopa.

"Giving oneself in service to another through volunteerism empowers the giver and recipient and where the entire community can inspire, equip, and mobilize people to take action that changes the world," declared Mayor Price. "We're here to honor those this evening who are in constant selfless service towards the City."

Residents are encourage to show their appreciation for all of the community volunteers for all of their continued efforts towards the City.
