MPD Promotion Ceremony Celebrates Two Officers and Swears in Six

The Maricopa Police Department held a promotional ceremony for several officers last night at City Hall. Chief James Hughes presided over the ceremony and spoke about the individuals being promoted and sworn in.

"We're celebrating some fantastic officers today," said Chief Hughes. "We met with some exceptional outside candidates but thankfully, the best ones were already in our department."

A. Cohen was promoted byMaricopa Superior Court Judge Cohen to the rank of Sergeant. Leonard Perez was promoted to Lieutenant. by Pinal County Justice of the Peace Lyle Riggs. Officers Trevor Burns, Matt Reyelts, Nathan Stark, Joshua Fox, Erick Solis, Cory Benoit were sworn in as official Officers for Maricopa Police Department by Judge Riggs
