The Maricopa Police Cadets once again showcased their prowess and teamwork as they participated in the annual Mesa Team Building Competition held at the Mesa Police Academy.
The competition, held on March 9, had a unique format. Typically, cadets represent their own post. However, in the Mesa Team Building Competition, cadets are randomly selected onto teams comprising representatives from eight different Police Agencies across Arizona. This format not only challenges cadets' abilities to work together with unfamiliar peers but also fosters leadership skills as they step up when needed. Thanks to Maricopa business Adobe Blinds, eight cadets from Maricopa to attend and compete in this event at no cost. Throughout the event, the Maricopa cadets exhibited a strong sense of camaraderie, engaging in friendly banter and encouraging each other. They not only learned from their counterparts but also shared valuable insights from their own experiences while serving in the Maricopa Police Cadet program.
The impressive performance of the cadets did not go unnoticed. Out of the 27 awards brought home by the Maricopa team, an astonishing 7 were first place, 10 were second place, and 10 were third place. This outstanding achievement speaks volumes about the dedication, training, and teamwork instilled in the cadets by the Maricopa Police advisors.
