The City of Maricopa Police Cadets placed in three categories in the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MSCO) Cadet and Explorer competition. Our cadets placed 3rd in both the Audible Alarm and Officer-Down scenarios and placed first in one of the most prestigious and competitive categories, the Fitness Challenge. “Our cadets exemplify the values of the Maricopa Police Department, and their exceptional performance in the MSCO competition is a testament to their dedication and the rigorous training they undergo. We are not just shaping future officers; we are shaping leaders. Congratulations to our cadets for their outstanding success,” said Chief Goodman. The event took place at the MCSO Training Facility last week. Our cadets were excited to put their skills and knowledge to the test against similar programs across the state. The competition included eight patrol-based scenarios. Several larger valley cadet programs were also involved including Chandler, Scottsdale, Mesa, MCSO, Pinal County Sherrif’s Office, among others. Despite going up against larger and much more experienced organizations, our cadets stepped up to the challenge. They were able to place in the top 3 of three different categories “The advisors and I are very proud of our cadets and they represent the Maricopa P olice very well,” said Det.
