Maricopa Youth Council Helps Unveil Monument on John Wayne Parkway

Last week, members of the City of Maricopa Youth Council attended the viewing of the completed Maricopa “M” monument scheduled to be installed in the north end of the city as a welcoming monument. .They were joined by the Mayor and members of City Council for this historic moment. Chair Deanna Lemorin spoke regarding being apart of the city mock council and the beautification project that started this idea.

Afterwards, the Maricopa Youth Council received a tour of the Public Works facility by Director Mike Riggs as he showcased the machine that built every piece of the ongoing beautification project.
