The City of Maricopa is notifying residents and motorists of a few upcoming roadway projects that will require lane restrictions and closures in early May. These improvements are part of the City’s ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance roadway safety and functionality.

Weekend Closure: John Wayne Parkway at Cobblestone Drive

Friday, May 1 at 4:00 AM – Sunday, May 3 at 9:00 PM

The northbound right-most lane on John Wayne Parkway at Cobblestone Drive will be closed for paving work. This project will create a new right-turn lane providing improved access into the commercial area located at the northeast corner of John Wayne Parkway and Smith-Enke Road.

Motorists traveling northbound on John Wayne Parkway should plan for delays and consider alternative routes. Crews will work to reopen the roadway early if the work is completed ahead of the planned end time.

Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes during this time. Local access will be maintained where possible, but through traffic will not be permitted.
