Each year, the Pacana Park Pumpkin Walk attracts in thousands of members of our community and local businesses for a evening of trick-or-treating, entertainment, and food. The event originally started in 2019 and has been drawing in increasing crowds of costumed kiddos and families as the tradition has continued on.

This year’s event was bigger than ever featuring more food trucks, live music, and the announcement of the winners of the pumpkin carving contest. One of the participants had been competing in the contest for more than three years and his efforts were finally rewarded by winning Best-in-Show with his “eye opening” entry.

He walked away with a trophy and a $100 prize while quoting, “My life is now complete.”

The evening was capped off with performances from the Maricopa High School Marching Band and Dance with Tatas.

Kenny Rickard, a local resident and Campus Pastor at Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) was on site with his team handing out candy and running additional recreational activities. CCV partnered with the City of Maricopa and sponsored the event this year.
