The 13th Annual Turkey Trot took place over the holiday weekend at the Copper Sky Multigenerational Center. The 5K run and one-mile walk  gave participants a reason to get out and shake off some of that excess holiday indulgence. Safety modifications were in place for this year's event as well.

“An event like this is a tradition for a lot of families that young and old participate together. Although this event didn’t receive the normal amount of turn out, we still wanted to provide something for our community to do amidst everything that has happened this year," said Brandon Washington,  Recreation Supervisor at Copper Sky. "We are thankful for our sponsor, True Grit, for putting this event on for the community and all our volunteers that came out to make sure to provide a safe fitness activity for all to enjoy.”

We hope to see more of our community make it out next year. Tune into the Copper Sky Facebook Page for all of the latest news and updates.
