The Fieldhouse at Copper Sky Is Open! Here's What You Need to Know
Published on October 14, 2026
We’re bringing a whole new lineup of fun and exciting recreational opportunities to Maricopa with the opening of the Fieldhouse at Copper Sky! From basketball and volleyball to pickleball, there’s plenty to look forward to at the City’s newest indoor sports facility.
Ready to hit the court? Here’s what you need to know before your first visit.
Already a Copper Sky Member?
Membership does have its benefits! Copper Sky members can enjoy Fieldhouse drop-in activities at no extra cost.
Non-members, fear not! Fieldhouse-only day passes cost $6 for adults and $3 for youth and students.
Want access to both facilities? Full Copper Sky memberships and day passes cover the Fieldhouse and the Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, while discounted Fieldhouse-only options are limited to the Fieldhouse.
Ready to play?
Unlike the Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, the Fieldhouse won’t have set public drop-in hours. Youth sports practices typically take over the courts Monday through Thursday evenings, with league games on Saturdays, so public availability will vary.
The best way to plan your visit is to check the monthly drop-in calendar, which lists available times for basketball, volleyball, pickleball and other activities.
Here’s what’s coming up:
- Pickleball: Starting Tuesday, October 20, drop-in sessions will run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7 to 11 a.m.
- Teen Drop-In Night: Teens can take over the courts Friday, October 30, from 5 to 9 p.m.
More drop-in opportunities will be added as the Fieldhouse gets rolling and receives additional community feedback.
Fun for All Ages
The Fieldhouse has something for a wide range of ages and interests, but there are a few supervision rules to keep in mind. Children ages 12 and older may use the facility independently with the appropriate wristband. Children 11 and younger must be supervised by someone at least 16 years old unless participating in a City or membership program.
Need equipment? Some recreational gear will be available to check out, but bringing your own is encouraged.
And it’s not just about sports! The Fieldhouse can also host tournaments, art fairs, community events and more, depending on availability.
Planning Your Visit
The Fieldhouse is just getting started, and its schedule will continue to evolve as the City balances public playtime with youth sports, leagues and community events.
Before heading out, be sure to check the monthly drop-in calendar on the Fieldhouse at Copper Sky or Copper Sky Multigenerational Center webpages. You can also follow Copper Sky on social media for schedule updates and announcements.
