Wild West Music Fest Drives Local Spending with $2.8 Million Injected
Published on August 12, 2025
From food trucks and artisan vendors to hotels and local shops, Wild West Music Fest brought more than just music to Copper Sky this spring—it brought dollars into the community.
This year the City of Maricopa partnered with Implan, an economic data analysis company to study the broader impacts of the festival. The results showed the festival generated and estimated $2.84 million dollars in total economic impact.
“That is money that is staying right here in our community,” Councilmember Vincent Manfredi shared at this week’s City Council meeting. “It also churns and continue to grow as our local employees then spend the money they earn right here in our community.”
Chris Spear, owner of Roots Eatery in Maricopa, shared that “these types of events are essential to supporting small businesses and building our community. I can’t wait for the festival to return.”

Reaching Established Goals:
In 2023, while looking to spark our local economy and amplify Maricopa on the regional stage, City Council established the goal to celebrate Maricopa’s 20th anniversary in style.
Rancho El Dorado resident Bejean Page called it, “the best event [she] ever attended in Maricopa,” as she referenced the food truck options, vendors and fun activities for all ages.
Following an event that was widely attended and successfully celebrated the City’s 20th anniversary, that goal was refined in early 2025. The focus shifted toward building on that momentum—positioning Maricopa as a destination, attracting regional visitors, and ensuring that the dollars spent during major events flow directly into local businesses and neighborhoods.
The 2025 Wild West Music Fest proved that vision is working.

With $2.84 million in economic impact, strong community participation, and overwhelmingly positive feedback from residents and business owners alike, the festival has become more than an annual tradition—it’s a strategic investment in Maricopa’s future.
As planning begins for the 2026 event, the City remains committed to creating experiences that unite the community, support small business growth, and continue putting Maricopa on the map.
