Candidate Information
Thank you for your interest in becoming a candidate in the 2026 City of Maricopa election. The City is represented by the Mayor and six Councilmembers. The Mayor and Councilmembers are elected at-large and serve four-year terms. Elections are scheduled in the fall of even-numbered years. Electors will consider candidates for 3 Councilmember seats in the Primary Election, to be held on July 21, 2026 and if necessary, a runoff election will be held on November 3, 2026. Newly elected officials will take office at the first regularly scheduled Council meeting in December, following the general election, which will be held on December 1, 2026.
Candidates were required to obtain between 440 and 879 signatures to appear on the ballot. Nomination signatures were due between February 21, 2026 and March 23, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. The following candidate did receive more than the required amount of votes to get elected outright:
The following four candidates received the next greatest number of votes at the Primary Election and shall have their names placed on the ballot at the November 3, 2026 General Election.

Please note that the Maricopa City Clerk serves as the filing officer for all local election forms. All forms must be filed, within the deadlines noted, with the Maricopa City Clerk.
