Request for Motions/Continuances

Motions can be filed in person, mailed, faxed or emailed to the court. If you have an attorney, please contact them prior to filing any motions. If filing a motion on a criminal case, you must submit a copy of the motion to the City Prosecutor:

Motions to continue are not automatically granted. There must be a showing of good cause for the continuance to be granted. Do not assume your motion to continue was granted just because you filed a motion. Your court date is still valid unless you have received a decision by the Judge in your case to allow it to be continued. Failure to appear at a court date may result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.
