Request for Motions/Continuances

Motions can be filed in person, mailed, faxed, emailed to the court, or submitted by completing the web form below. If you have an attorney, please contact them prior to filing any motions. If you are filing a motion on a criminal case, you must also submit a copy of the motion to the City Prosecutor:

Motions to continue are not automatically granted. There must be a showing of good cause for the continuance to be granted. Do not assume your motion to continue was granted just because you filed a motion. Your court date is still valid unless you have received a decision by the Judge in your case to allow it to be continued. Failure to appear at a court date may result in a warrant being issued for your arrest.
