City of Maricopa COVID-19 Programs and Event Status Updates

Per the City’s statement, released March 17, 2020 it is necessary to modify, and in some cases cancel select programs and services, subject to change.  We are doing everything we can to continue to connect people to the services we offer through modifications.  Participants enrolled in a canceled program will be notified by staff.  Canceled and modified programs that do not require registration will be listed on our Facebook and City website as decisions are made.  We appreciate your patience through this process and will communicate changes as they occur.  Follow our social media pages for updates and call, email, or message with any questions.  

The City is announcing the following modifications and cancelations:

COMMUNITY SERVICES

• Copper Sky Multigenerational Center
  • Copper Sky is seeking to modify group exercise and enrichment programs to fit within the parameters of the City’s statement, to include limiting activity sizes to 10 or less.
  • All organized senior programming is canceled
  • Indoor facility rentals are canceled*
• City of Maricopa Public Library
  • All organized indoor programs with over 10 attendees are canceled

CANCELED EVENTS

• March 28 – MFMD 2^nd Annual Car Show
• March 28 - Maricopa Color Run 

CITY HALL

• All board, committee and commissions meetings with exception of City Council and Planning and Zoning are canceled. (schedule to be determined)

*Participants currently registered for programs or reservations will be individually notified.
