UPDATE 5/4/2026: The Contracted Postal Unit (CPU) located inside the Maricopa Library & Cultural Center has returned to normal operations. We appreciate the community's patience as we worked with USPS to restore services.

Original Article Published April 28, 2026: The Contract Postal Unit (CPU) located inside the Maricopa Library & Cultural Center is temporarily closed due to an unexpected hardware failure.
City employees are working in coordination with the United States Postal Service (USPS) to restore service as quickly as possible. At this time, USPS has not provided a specific timeline for repairs or when the unit is expected to reopen.
During the closure, residents and customers are encouraged to visit the alternative USPS location for postal needs (located at 44920 W Hathaway Ave, Maricopa, AZ 85139), including mailing packages, purchasing postage, and accessing other services.Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.
The City appreciates the community’s patience and understanding while this issue is resolved.
