There’s a special backstory to this photo. When it comes time to feed the crew, Maricopa Firefighter Jorge Del Muro swaps his helmet for chef’s hat. His comfort in the kitchen is a convenience for his colleagues, and an unexpected talent that bailed out a Maricopa mother. On a recent call, Del Muro and his crew were helping out a mom who was experiencing some dizziness. As they worked, they noticed her episode had interrupted her breakfast plans for her two young sons. Without missing a beat, Del Muro scooped up the spatula and took command of the stove. When mom felt better, she found her boys at the table and a plate waiting for her. If you’ve ever met our firefighters, you already know they’re incapable of bragging. So, we’ll do it for them!
