State House Bill 2068 which appropriates $35 million in funding for an overpass on State Route 347 and Riggs Road passed yesterday when sent to the House Appropriations Committee by a vote of 12-1.
"There are still several hurdles left to climb," said Mayor Price. "We'd like to thank the Maricopa community for all of their support in letting these committees and lawmakers know where you stand on getting the 347 fixed."
The bill is currently scheduled to go to the House Rules Committee for further evaluation and a vote in the near future.
