Maricopa residents will soon have a new resource to help them take the next step in their careers.
The City of Maricopa, in partnership with ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County, will officially launch a new ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County Career Access Point at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center.
The Access Point will serve as a dedicated on-location resource, utilizing the library’s computer facilities and workspace to connect residents with ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County-trained career coaches. Through this partnership, job seekers will have access to a wide range of services provided under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), including resume writing assistance, job search support, and career development coaching.
"Our library has always been a hub for learning and community connection," said Mayor Nancy Smith. "By partnering with ARIZONA@WORK Pinal County to bring professional career coaches and employment resources directly to our residents, we are making it easier for Maricopans to find high-quality jobs and build stable, successful futures right here in Pinal County".
This new partnership turns the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center into a fully accessible hub where anyone, including neighbors with disabilities, can easily get the career help they need. Additionally, veterans and other covered persons will receive priority for career and training services.
To view the upcoming career coach schedules, residents are encouraged to sign up for the City of Maricopa Newsletter at www.maricopa-az.gov/newsletter or visit the Pinal County Calendar.
