The dust has settled since Circle K's recent opening of their new location at 41433 W Honeycutt Rd. The nearly 6,000 square feet of retail space and seven gasoline pumps were bustling with Maricopans on an early drive near the site shortly after opening – providing goods and services to a currently underserved area.
The City of Maricopa's Development Services Department worked closely with Circle K developers to ensure a quick permit turnaround time to turn this project into a reality. Planning staff collaborated with the applicant, producing an aesthetically-pleasing Western Agrarian architectural theme that will complement the area as it continues to grow. The freshly-planted landscaping uses draught-tolerant species that mimic the natural vegetation of the Sonoran Desert, and the ornate lighting provides sufficient illumination while not impacting adjacent properties.
The City of Maricopa was delighted to approve the final product that provides mutual benefit for Circle K and the Maricopa community.
