The City of Maricopa is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated ribbon cutting for the Maricopa Community Center (MCC) will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 24 at 41614 W Smith-Enke Road (former library location). The MCC will also have areas exclusively reserved for Maricopa veterans and senior groups in our community.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin indoors promptly at 9 a.m. with the posting of the Colors by American Legion Post 133 Color Guard followed by a short program.

Following the ceremony, both the Veterans Wing and the Seniors Wing will host an open house until 1 p.m. Members of the public can tour the new center, visit with various groups that offer senior and veteran programs and services, and sign up for classes and trips offered through the Community Services Department that will be held at the MCC.

Community Services Director Nathan Ullyot indicated, “with the rapid growth of our city, having a place like the Maricopa Community Center will provide people with another place focused on keeping the community connected. The flexibility the space provides means everyone will have a chance to enjoy what CAN happen here.”

We welcome you to join the City of Maricopa in the opening of this new facility!
