Maricopa Launches Transparency Portal to Track CIP

Ever wonder what construction is happening down the street, when it will be finished or how much it costs? Now there's an easier way to find out.

The City of Maricopa has launched a new online transparency portal featuring Projects in Progress, an interactive look at the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP). The CIP is the City's long-range plan for major infrastructure investments, including roads, utilities, public facilities and other improvements that support a growing community. The new portal brings information on numerous projects together in one convenient location, making it easier for residents to stay informed about infrastructure improvements throughout Maricopa.

“The City's budget documents and financial reports have always been publicly available. This portal takes transparency a step further by giving residents a way to follow individual projects, see how much they cost, and track their progress with regular updates,” said Matt Kozlowski, Deputy City Manager and Chief Financial Officer.

The portal features projects in planning, design and construction, as well as recently completed improvements, giving residents a look at both ongoing work and finished projects.

Residents can explore recently completed amenities like the Recreation Gym/Field House, which celebrated its grand opening on October 10, and the Copper Sky Pickleball Court Expansion, which opened September 22. They can also follow upcoming transportation improvements, including the SR 238 project from SR 347 to two miles west, currently in design with construction anticipated to begin in Spring/Summer 2027.
