Pacana Park Pumpklin Walk Welcomed Thousands of Trick or Treaters
Published on November 01, 2021
The Pacana Park Pumpkin Walk is a popular holiday event where over 120 local businesses had the opportunity to meet members of the community while sharing some sweet treats in a fun and safe environment. This year's event saw over 5,000 attendees participate in the festivities and eager trick or treaters were able to gather candy and meet members of the local community in a safe and fun environment.
“So many of our events center around Copper Sky and rightly so as it’s a great event space. With the pumpkin walk we want to reconnect people with Pacana Park which has an important place in our City’s history. It’s a simple event, kids, costumes, and candy. The businesses, non-profits, churches, and other organizations get an opportunity to connect and parents to see their kids in that costume and extra time. I hope in coming years we get enough participation to line the entire lake with decorated or carved pumpkins that will add another dynamic to the event," said Community Services Director, Nathan Ullyot. "We’re very pleased with the response from the public and hope to keep improving this simple event to be yet another connection point for our community.”
The event also hosted the return of the annual pumpkin decorating contest. Many fun and creative entries were submitted. The winners of each category were as follows:
