A new chapter in recreation is about to begin.

The City of Maricopa invites the community to join us Saturday, October 10, for the grand opening of the Fieldhouse at Copper Sky, the City’s newest indoor recreation destination.

The free, family-friendly celebration will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Fieldhouse at Copper Sky at 17985 Greythorn Drive and will feature a morning packed with activities, entertainment and opportunities to experience the new facility firsthand.

The celebration will begin with remarks from Mayor and City Council, special guests and an official ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the opening of The Fieldhouse.

Then, it’s time to play.

Following the ceremony, guests can explore the Fieldhouse and check out its new indoor recreation spaces. Visitors will have the opportunity to shoot baskets on the new basketball court, play volleyball and pickleball, enjoy arts and crafts, check out giveaways and let the kids burn off some energy in an inflatable play area. Food trucks will also be on hand to keep the celebration going.

Adding another dose of excitement to the morning, Phoenix Championship Wrestling will present a professional wrestling show for attendees to enjoy.

The Fieldhouse represents another major addition to Maricopa’s growing recreation offerings, providing residents with new opportunities to stay active, gather with friends and family, and enjoy indoor sports and activities throughout the year.

Whether you want to be among the first to step onto the new courts, check out the facility, enjoy the entertainment or simply celebrate with your neighbors, there will be plenty to see and do.

Bring the family, lace up your sneakers and come experience the Fieldhouse at Copper Sky!
