The City of Maricopa is preparing to open the next round of its Celebration of the Arts Grant Program, which is designed to inspire artistic expression and bring residents together through the arts, and will feature increased award amounts for both available grant categories.
The Vibrant City grant will now provide up to $3,000 for artists, collectives, and organizations looking to activate public spaces through performances, workshops, and creative projects. The Support the Community grant will offer up to $5,000 for Maricopa-based nonprofit organizations delivering arts and cultural that benefit Maricopa residents .
In previous cycles, these grants supported a wide range of initiatives, from live performances and pop-up events to festivals and theater productions which highlights the program’s role in enhancing quality of life and strengthening community connections through the arts.
Applications for both grant categories will be open from May 4 - 31, with a competitive review process to follow. Artists and organizations interested in applying are encouraged to begin preparing project concepts, budgets, and supporting materials in advance.
